Butter- I used salted. Adds creamy texture and true cookie dough flavor to this dish. Let's face it...most cookie doughs contain brown sugar.
Granulated Sugar- as you can tell I'm quite excited this cookie dough contains no brown sugar. Such a win! As such, it gets its sweetness from granulated sugar.
Peanut Butter- because what would single serve, edible peanut butter cookie dough be without...the peanut butter? So creamy, and it pairs perfectly with the chocolate chips. Like edible Reeses in cookie dough form. Just perfect.
Vanilla (optional)- adds flavor and complexity to this already fabulous dish.
Flour- Make sure to heat it as described in the recipe and to read the FDA link and make your own decision. I feel comfortable with this but everyone is different!
Salt- you don't notice it unless it's gone! The salt basically helps all the flavors shine in this recipe. Don't skip it.
Milk- Because of the peanut butter, this dish can be a bit sticky. That's where the milk comes in! It helps make this edible cookie dough delicious and so perfect! You could also use almond milk if you're wanting to minimize dairy.
Chocolate Chips- Oh so yummy. Not going to lie, I snitched some prior to making this dish. I like Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips for people avoiding dairy.
