Why You’ll Love this Cottage Cheese Taco Dip

Ahh so many reasons you guys!! Here’s just a few:

It’s Made With Cottage Cheese

One of the most versatile ingredients ever and filling as well! I love that it uses a fridge staple to recreate a classic.

It’s SO Fast!

Let’s face it. None of us have time to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen. Plus, as a mom I have zero desire to make super fancy recipes for the 3 meals and up to two snacks a day my hungry kiddos want to eat! So, my son was excited to see this cottage cheese taco dip for snack and I was excited it only took a few minutes to whip up. Win-win!

It’s Served Hot

I’m totally riding this cottage cheese trend! As a result, I’ve seen lots of cottage cheese dip recipes. I notice that many of them are cold. However, I feel strongly that taco dip should be warm and cheesy! Perfect for winter football game day or just general comfort food. I love chips and dip. I’m sure you feel similarly. During pregnancy, my only real consistent craving has been queso. And similar to this dip, nobody likes cold queso. So go ahead and serve this dip hot. You won’t regret it!

How To Make Cottage Cheese Taco Dip

1. Blend Ingredients (Cottage Cheese, Taco Seasoning, Milk, and Cheese)

Blend the cottage cheese, milk, taco seasoning, and 1/4 cup cheese in a blender. Nutribullet has been my standby for years!

2. Pour Cottage Cheese Into A Small Pan

The pan I used was approximately 6×6 inches. You could also pour it into ramekins.

3. Sprinkle Cottage Cheese Taco Dip With Cheese

I used mozzarella but cheddar would be awesome, too! Just working with what I have on hand…how things roll when you’re a mom I guess!

4. Eat The Dip.

If I had to pick one, I’d definitely say this is the most important step in making this dip. If you’re going to skip a step, don’t let it be this one.

Ingredients In Cottage Cheese Taco Dip

Cottage Cheese

Because what is cottage cheese taco dip without the cottage cheese? I love that this recipe uses 2 cups of it. I love how cottage cheese fills me up without weighing me down. Maybe that’s why it’s so trendy these days?

Taco Seasoning Mix

Don’t break out your spices…keep it simple by using taco seasoning mix! I love how much flavor it adds so easily. What’s not to love!

Milk

Basically here so that the blender can actually blend this dip together.

Mozzarella (Or Cheddar…or Mexican Blend) Cheese

Because what is taco dip without cheese? Can anyone imagine? Sounds depressing to me for sure.

What To Serve With Cottage Cheese Taco Dip

Chips– I made tortilla wedges from whole wheat tortillas I had, but you can purchase yours from the store! I love multigrain tortilla chips from Aldi, but really any will do just fine. If you’re needing a recipe for homemade tortilla chips, check out this one here:

Veggies- I’m one of those people that dips my veggies in anything, so this is a win for sure. I also love veggies with my cottage cheese ranch dip!
